Meet Our Partners: An Insightful Conversation with Peter John From London School of Business and Finance (LSBF)

In our ongoing series, “Meet Our Partners,” we are thrilled to introduce Peter John, a dynamic and experienced professional  in the field of education and corporate governance.

Peter, a Dutch national, has a remarkable journey that spans across countries and industries.

Let’s delve into our conversation to learn more about the remarkable collaboration between  the London School of Business and Finance (LSBF), and Uninettuno.

Peter John’s professional journey is as diverse as it is impressive. Originally from the Netherlands, Peter moved to Romania 25 years ago to work as a General Manager for a media company. It was in Romania that he met his wife, which led him to extend his stay. During his time there, Peter ventured into the fields of marketing and communication, starting small companies. In 2011, he relocated to the south of France, near Nice and Cannes. In 2012, Peter began his tenure at LSBF, initially handling small modules before progressing to the role of principal lecturer. Concurrently, he served as a non-executive director for a major gas company in Romania. His interest in corporate governance and board effectiveness inspired him to pursue a PhD, which he completed in 2020. Today, Peter also holds visiting professor positions at several business schools across Europe, with a focus on strategic topics, corporate strategy, corporate governance, and sustainability.

About LSBF: Mission, Vision, and Goals

Founded in 2003, the London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) has evolved from a college focused on professional qualifications to a global institution offering executive courses and postgraduate degrees. Established by entrepreneur Mr. Aaron Etingen, LSBF embodies a flexible and student-centered approach to education. By 2015, LSBF had grown into one of England’s largest private colleges, becoming part of Global University Systems, a network of 30 institutions and academic partners worldwide.

LSBF’s uniqueness lies in its ability to offer globally recognized degree programs entirely online. This flexibility allows students from any location to pursue their education without the constraints of physical attendance. The asynchronous nature of LSBF’s programs means that students can study at their own pace, fitting their education around personal and professional commitments.

The LSBF-Uninettuno Partnership: A Shared Vision

The collaboration between LSBF and Uninettuno University (UTIU) as we normal call it, aligns seamlessly with their shared vision of making higher education accessible to all. Uninettuno’s innovative approach started with delivering education via television, and both institutions strive to offer flexible, high-quality education to students who might not otherwise have the opportunity.

Peter highlights that the partnership has thrived for over a decade, an evidence to the strong alignment in mission and vision. Both LSBF and Uninettuno prioritize flexibility and accessibility, ensuring that their programs cater to the diverse needs of students globally.

Unique Aspects of the LSBF-Uninettuno Partnership

While LSBF collaborates with other institutions such as Noble School of Management and various UK-based health education providers, the partnership with Uninettuno stands out due to its exclusive focus on online education. Unlike other collaborations that may include face-to-face teaching, both LSBF and Uninettuno are dedicated to delivering education entirely online. This shared commitment to online learning makes their partnership unique and highly effective in reaching a global student base.

Student Benefits and Achievements From This Partnership.

One of the significant benefits of the LSBF-Uninettuno partnership is the ability to offer recognized degrees that are valid across Europe and worldwide. Uninettuno’s provision of diplomas enhances LSBF’s offerings, allowing them to grant internationally recognized master’s and bachelor’s degrees. This collaboration has also facilitated LSBF’s approval to offer qualifications accredited by the Chartered Management Institute on a dual accreditation basis, adding substantial value to their programs.

Students have responded positively to this collaboration, appreciating the flexibility and the quality of education they receive. The partnership enables LSBF to continuously adapt its programs to meet student needs, ensuring a relevant and enriching educational experience.

Future Prospects of the Partnership

Peter is optimistic about the future of the LSBF-Uninettuno partnership. He emphasizes the importance of continually calibrating programs to student needs, a shared focus that promises further growth and expansion. Both institutions are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the next decade, maintaining their commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education.

The Experience of Working with Uninettuno

When asked if he enjoys working with Uninettuno, Peter’s response is a resounding yes. The long-standing relationship between the two institutions fosters mutual understanding and trust, allowing for open discussions and continuous improvement. This strong personal and professional bond ensures that both LSBF and Uninettuno can effectively address challenges and enhance their programs, setting a foundation for future success.

In one word, Peter describes his experience with the LSBF-Uninettuno partnership as “professional.” This term expresses the high standards, dedication, and expertise that both institutions bring to their collaboration, ensuring the delivery of top-notch education to students worldwide.
